MIT professor Noam Chomsky is widely regarded as the father of modern linguistics. He’s also one of the world’s most vocal and influential critics of U.S. foreign policy. In the video below, taped in April of this year, he discusses the United States’ global role with an audience of students and faculty at Brown University. Chomsky is the author of a good many books, including Manufacturing Consent, Understanding Power, and, most recently, Hopes and Prospects.
