HAMPTON, Va. — The Air Force plans to mark the opening of a new complex for its 497th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group.

Air Force officials say they plan to hold a ceremony Wednesday at Langley for the expanded facility, two new buildings at the north end of the base, after a move that cost about $75 million.

The group's mission is to analyze images and signals from unmanned aerial vehicles such as the Predator and Global Hawk.

The new complex has an operations center four times larger than the previous setup, and the group expects eventually to gain more than 400 airmen.
